Tom’s Tavern, one last time.
Me and two of my good friends visited Tom’s this evening for one last burger. I went with the mushroom swiss even though the blue cheese & bacon sounded like a good choice as well. Rumor has it that Tom’s is closing so they can rent the space out for a significantly larger profit then what they’re making today slinging burgers.
I’ve only been in Boulder for 5 years. But even in that short amount of time a lot has changed. People continue to talk about their worries of Boulder becoming something that it’s not and I’m starting to get worried too.
I grew up in a farming community (Lincoln, NE) and I really enjoy that feel. Now I’m starting to feel like I might be in some trendy neighborhood outside of San Diego and not the Boulder I’ve come to grow and love. On the other hand, maybe I’m just being a big cry baby and I should embrace this thing.
